How On Earth Did Evolution Get Started? What Are Its Origins?

Evolution first got started by Charles Darwin’s grandfather, Erasmus Darwin in a poem that he wrote. Erasmus was extremely fat, his family had to cut a curve in the dinner table so that Erasmus could get close enough to eat. Charles Darwin’s father, Robert Darwin, was worried about Charles if he was going to be a loser, because he did horribly in school and didn’t like being around other people. The Darwins were known as being well educated people, Erasmus was a physician and so was Robert Darwin, so Robert did not want Charles to be a nobody. Robert wanted Carles to walk in his footsteps.  Charles Darwin later went to The University of Edinburgh Medicine School. One day he was learning how to do a surgery and -the story goes- He ran out of the operating room and never came back because he couldn’t take the ‘bloodiness’ of the procedure. In 1831 Charles Darwin went to Christ’s College of Cambridge when he was 22 to become a Clergyman in the Church of England. He later graduated, but he couldn’t find a job. So Robert Darwin sent him to go on board of the HMS Beagle. So when the Beagle set sail on December 27, 1831 he took -of course- The Bible, but he also took a book that was published the year before, named, Principles of Geology by, Charles Lyell. Lyell said very famously that his goal was to, “Free science from Moses” which clearly states his agenda. Darwin read the whole book and as a Catholic he started to doubt what he believed.

On September 15, 1835 the HMS Beagle arrived at the chain of islands called, The Galapagos. This is where Darwin did his most famous work. Prior to 1835 Darwin had no degree in Biology, Astronomy, or Physics. He only had his Theology degree and his degree from Christ’s College. But now he was on his way to popularize the idea that his grandfather first thought of 33 years ago. He found numerous amazing animals that he never seen before, (much less the folks back in Europe), Marine Iguanas, Giant Tortoises, and most famous, Finches. Charles discovered 14 different species of finches. Darwin also liked shooting, and killing finches. He also liked riding on the backs of tortoises. He wrote all of this in his Diary. Charles and the Crew spent 5 weeks in the islands, mapping and exploring the wildlife there. Darwin collected numerous and various finch specimens. He took note of each little variation. He thought they all shared a common ancestor… a Bird. Darwin found 14 species of birds and he said that it didn’t make sense why the Creator made these little changes in these birds for just a couple islands that all looked similar.
